Drs. Bybee, Williams, Self and Fakunle provide consultation in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes. Ms. Mike and Ms. Hancock are an integral part of the Endocrine and Diabetes care team. Endocrinology and Diabetes is a subspecialty field of Internal Medicine concerned with metabolic and hormonal disorders. The field includes diabetes mellitus, cholesterol and lipid disorders, osteoporosis, and diseases of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and gonads. Our practice utilizes a “team” approach in the evaluation and management of diabetes. The team includes the patient, the physician, the nurse practitioners, the nutritionist, and other professionals whose services are used as needed. Our office maintains a professional relationship with a registered dietician for nutritional consultation.

Dr. O’Brien provides consultation and health maintenance services in the fields of Pulmonary Medicine and Internal Medicine. Pulmonary Medicine is a subspecialty field of Internal Medicine concerned with breathing disorders. The field includes asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and the diagnosis and treatment of other conditions such as shortness of breath. Dr. O’Brien also provides complete physical examinations and continuing care for those adult patients with general medical disorders.

Our office maintains laboratory facilities within the office complex.  Blood, urine, or other specimens may be obtained in our office and processed on site, or sent to an outside reference laboratory for processing.  EKGs, thyroid ultrasound examinations, and thyroid needle aspirations are performed on site.

 

Special x-rays, scans, or bronchoscopies may be performed outside the office, usually at the outpatient facilities located at Jewish Hospital, Norton Hospital, or the Norton Healthcare Pavilion.  Results indicating an urgent change in treatment will be called to you immediately; however, in the event you have not been contacted by our office with a report within 7 days of the outpatient procedure, please contact us immediately.
